"The experience being out in nature in Africa was very powerful. Seeing all these exotic animals in their natural state had a profound effect on me. Everything from the landscape to the plants and tree’s stood out. I felt very calm and relaxed being out there like time stood still. I was able to really let go of all my stresses and concerns back at home in the states and be in the moment. Seeing animals up close like lions, giraffe, rhinos, baboons, monkeys, and ostriches was just incredible. I also loved all the different birds. I feel like its just the beginning for me though. I will definitely be going back in the future. Being around the different cultures in Africa also gave me a deeper appreciation to everything I have had in my life and it pointed out a lot things I take for granted."

"My experience in Africa changed the way I see the world, and gave me a totally new perspective. It’s one thing to read about different cultures but to actually have your feet on the soil is a whole different experience. One thing that will always stick with me is that many of the native people that I met seemed to still have a lot of spirit and positive energy. A lot of them had very strong faith and connection to their god and they felt very connected to the earth and the environment something I now realize is quite lost in the western world. I also found it refreshing that the technology didn’t run their lives like in the states.
